I start work next week.
This officially ends my 2-year depression.
D says to take it that I had spent the last 2 years pursuing a masters degree - after all, I did pay the market a hefty fee to learn to trade.
I have been sim trading the whole time that I stopped posting. I recognized I wasn't in the right frame of mind to trade real money. And during the time that I was sim trading, I noticed that my best trades (commodities and forex futures) were those taken after 12pm N.Y. time. That would be 12am my time, which is perfect for me when I start work - it means I'll have plenty of time to have dinner, play with my cat, and pick what I am going to wear the following day before I settle down to study my charts.
Another thing that made me really happy: they've made a movie from my favorite book (the book that kept me sane these 2 years - Elizabeth Gilbert's account of how she spent an entire night on the floor of her bathroom crying, and her subsequent decision to leave her normal life behind - her comfort zone - to explore the unknown in Italy, then India - totally captured my heart. She's like a twin - her experiences, her character, her likes and dislikes...even the part about her never having been alone ie. without a man since she was 15....anyway, trailer below)

Congrats Jules!!!
The past year that I spent with the market was one awesome experience as well. It's not only the reading, the searching, the learning, and the trading, but also a substantial behavioral, and emotional change for the better.
Ed :-)
Trading has definitely changed me. I'm going to be a more pleasant person to work with :-)
Salutations from Zondor,
Best Wishes...I have seen your charts and trading...I hope you can systematically build on that by letting the pressure off so to speak.

Hi Jules, congratulations on your new job. I'm starting my new job too (stat board again) mid-april.
I agree with D on the college degree analogy :) i hope u all the best in ur new job and i look forward to ur updates.
With Blessings,
Black.
Congrats Jules! Keep us updated. :-)
why trade? just get more of your beauty sleep and look fresh at your work. Market will be there when you are ready. If you make a mistake in your trade I dont think you will be a happy camper when you show up at work.
Sandy :-)
With a job, a lot of pressure is definitely off :-)
Thank you, Black! :-) And congrats too! Are you the one attending night classes, or is Bottle the one? That's a pretty hectic life!
Thank you, DT!!
You seem to be having lots of fun with 6B and NQ :-)
Haven't gotten Mrs DT out of my head yet. She's HOT! :-)
CORY :-)
I trade coz it's what I like to do. I work coz I have too much time, and having too much time is not good for someone who hasn't learnt to NOT trade during times when staying on the sideline is the wise thing to do. Besides, I need only 4 hours of sleep a day.
Most important is, I really don't mind the extra funds going into my trading account every month LOL!
thanks Jules, yeah im the one taking the night classes, i can't wait to get it over and done with! i wish i can i say i have too much time, LOL. =)
Congratulations!
No situation is ever "black and white" and I am sure you have chosen the best shade of grey.
"I trade coz it's what I like to do. I work coz I have too much time..." i love this dear ;-)
May you have a refreshingly good 4-hour of shut-eye everynight.

ivan
